The 41st President of the United States, George H. W. Bush, visited the University of Arkansas School of Law on April 6, 2009 for a 30-minute question-and-answer session with students, faculty, and other invited guests. As the University’s Distinguished Lecturer for the Spring 2009 semester, President Bush also gave a public address to an audience of more than 1,500 at Barnhill Arena.

“This has been a historic year for the School of Law,” said Dean Cynthia Nance. “Our community has been extremely fortunate to welcome both Justice Sandra Day O’Connor for our building dedication and, now, President Bush. Their visits speak volumes about the law school’s growing national reputation.”

This was the second visit by President Bush to the University of Arkansas, the first coming in 1969 for the “Big Shootout” football game between the University of Texas and the Razorbacks.

Media from the event will be posted in the coming days.
