Alumnus, Iraq War Veteran Speaks at Law School

Steve Zega, Prairie Grove City Prosecutor, will address the University of Arkansas School of Law community and the UA Law Young Democrats on Thursday, Oct. 1, at noon in room 339 in Leflar Law Center. The talk is free and open to the public.

Zega is a 1993 graduate of the School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in 1990. From 1994 to 2003, he served as Lincoln City Prosecutor, and in 2006 he began his current role as Prairie Grove City Prosecutor.

Zega has been a member of the Arkansas National Guard since 1988 and served a tour of duty in Iraq in 2004. Legal Aid of Arkansas named Zega the Washington County Volunteer Lawyer of the Year in both 2001 and 2007. He was elected to the Washington County Quorum Court in 2000 and currently serves as chair of the finance and budget committees.
