The School of Law and the Office of Career Planning and Placement will present “Pathways to the Profession: Judicial Clerkships” on Friday, Nov. 6, at 1:30 in the E.J. Ball Courtroom. The program is free and open to the public and Chik-Fil-A will be served.
The program will offer an opportunity for members of the law school community to discuss clerkship opportunities and the jobs themselves with a distinguished panel of attorneys. “Pathways to the Profession” also will provide general information regarding practice before, and interaction with, the court.
Panelists include:
Kathryn Hall Henry, ’05, who clerked for the Honorable Price Marshall of the Arkansas Court of Appeals. Henry now works in the Criminal Division of the Arkansas Attorney General’s office;
Stephanie Gosnell Mazzanti, ’06, who clerked for the Honorable G. Thomas Eisele of the United States District Court. Mazzanti is now Senior Clerk to the Honorable Brian S. Miller of the United States District Court and has accepted a position as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas in the Criminal Division;
Cameron McCree, ’07, who clerked for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. McCree now works as a litigation associate with the law firm of Quattlebaum, Grooms, Tull & Burrow PLLC in Little Rock;
Chris McNulty is a former Staff Attorney for the Honorable Richard D. Taylor, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern and Western District of Arkansas. McNulty will be joining Mitchell William’s Little Rock office as a bankruptcy associate;
Ross Noland, ’03, completed a Masters of Laws in Environmental Law at George Washington University and then worked as a staff attorney at Paul Hastings, LLP. Noland now serves as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Mary Spencer McGowan of the Pulaski County Circuit Court, 9th Division;
Kristen Sluyter clerked for the Honorable Annabelle Clinton Imber of the Arkansas Supreme Court and now works as a litigation and appellate advocacy associate with Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP in Little Rock.
