Second-year University of Arkansas School of Law students Luv Agrawal and Chad Li were elected to the board of directors of the National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (NAPALSA). Li, who was elected national president, and Agrawal, who was elected conference chairman, represented the Arkansas chapter of NAPALSA at the 2010 National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) /NAPALSA conference in Los Angeles, Calif.
The annual conference was attended by more than 2000 Asian-American attorneys and law students from around the country. Among the attendees were Judge Denny Chin, Judge Lance Ito and Professor Goodwin Liu.
As President of NAPALSA, Li will oversee a growing national organization and hope to make an impact on Asian-American law student interests. He plans to work closely with NAPABA to increase its presence at the local level, expand to more schools, raise funds and foster relationships among schools within the same region. Agrawal is charged with helping to plan next year’s national conference in Atlanta, Ga.
