The National Jurist ranked the University of Arkansas School of Law the 18th “Best Value” among American law schools. The School of Law is one of only 20 law schools to earn a grade of “A” for offering a quality legal education at an affordable price.
“We are pleased to be recognized for what our students and alums have always known — that our law school provides a world-class legal education at a fantastic rate of return for their tuition dollars,” said Stacy L. Leeds, dean of the School of Law.
The rankings weigh tuition, debt load upon graduation, two-year bar exam passage rate, two-year state bar exam passage rate, and two-year employment rate. According to National Jurist, the goal of the ranking is, “[t]o find the law schools where graduates have an excellent chance of passing the bar and getting a job, without taking on a ton of debt.”
