Bar Passage Rate Over 88 Percent for Recent U of A Law Grads
Posted on October 3, 2013
More than 88 percent of recent University of Arkansas School of Law graduates passed the Arkansas bar exam on their first attempt this July. Out of 81 School of Law graduates taking the test for the first time, 72 graduates (88.9 percent) passed. The state average for first-time takers for the July 2013 exam was 78.1 percent.
“These results speak to the hard work and talent of our graduates and the excellent preparation they receive at the law school,” said Stacy Leeds, dean of the School of Law. “In addition to the rigorous courses taught by our faculty, we also provide bar preparation workshops for our graduating students. Our students put a tremendous amount of time and effort into preparing for the exam, and we are so proud of their success.”
Bar passage rates were a factor in the School of Law recently being ranked second in the U.S. in The National Jurist’s annual ranking of “Best Value Law Schools.”
