Housing
Living in University Housing costs about $4,336.00 per semester for the 2012-2013 academic year. Living off-campus in an apartment can vary greatly depending on type of accommodations, roommates, and other factors.
The University of Arkansas has an off-campus housing department with resources that allow you to search for housing, compare prices, determine proximity to campus, and get help in finding used furniture. You can also find information on roommates, utilities, landlord contracts, etc. To use the site you will first need to sign up for a guest account.
The School of Law is located on the north side of campus, as shown on the UA Campus map. There are apartments, duplexes, and houses for rent nearby.
Transportation
If you are planning to fly into Arkansas, please note that our closest airport is the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA) located near Bentonville, Arkansas, about 30 miles northwest of Fayetteville. For information on obtaining an Arkansas Driver’s license, please visit the Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles. Typically, a foreign license will allow you to drive in Arkansas for 6 months after arrival. After that you will need to apply for an Arkansas license.
The University of Arkansas has a bus system, and riding on it is free.
Parking on campus requires a paid parking permit. For more information, please visit the Parking and Transit department website.
Fayetteville has beautifully maintained walking/biking trails. The city of Fayetteville parks and recreation department has a nice listing of the trails with a great interactive map.
