Under the direction of Nate Coulter, Distinguished Practitioner-in-Residence
The University of Arkansas School of Law, with the support of a grant from the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office and as part of the national mortgage settlement, will provide free legal help to homeowners in northwest Arkansas who face possible foreclosure. Law students and a supervising attorney will be available to provide answers to questions the homeowners have about Arkansas foreclosure law and pending issues with their home mortgage, including possible options for loan modifications or short sales. Where additional assistance is necessary or appropriate, the law students may refer the homeowners to private practitioners or legal aid attorneys.
11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7p.m. on Sept. 26, Oct. 10, Oct. 24, and Nov. 7 at the Fayetteville Public Library
The Foreclosure Clinic works in conjunction with Professor Coulter’s class, “Counseling Home Foreclosure Clients.”
