School of Law Commencement Instructions
May 18, 2013, 2:00 p.m., Fayetteville Town Center
Regalia: Class of 2013 graduates should pick up regalia in the UA Bookstore in February (dates and times TBA). If you are unable to pick up regalia at that time, be sure to pick it up the week prior to Commencement. Contact the University Bookstore at 575-2155 for more information. Candidates for degrees must wear robes appropriate to their degree without added adornment such as markings on mortar boards, beads or flowers.
Guests: There is no limit to the amount of guests you bring with you. We encourage students to bring as many friends and family members as you wish to invite.
Arrival: The School of Law commencement exercise will begin promptly at 2:00 on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Graduates, please ARRIVE AT THE TOWN CENTER NO LATER THAN 1:15pm wearing your cap and gown. Carry your hood over your right arm. Note: Graduates will be “hooded” during the ceremony. 2013 Faculty Hooders are Professors Mary Beth Matthews and Dustin Buehler.
The class speaker is T.W. Brown, and the keynote speaker will be Lt. Gen. Richard Harding.
Graduates should follow signage and proceed to the north corridor to line up. All graduates and guests who are carrying camcorder cases, camera cases, or other bags may be searched at the door. We recommend that you do not bring backpacks, large bags, or additional items that may deay entry. Graduates must leave personal belongings with family and friends since you will not be allowed to carry items during the ceremony.
Pronunciation of Your Name: Please see Professor Carlton Bailey if you anticipate problems with the pronunciation of your name for commencement.
Pictures: A professional photographer will be taking pictures during the awarding of diplomas and he will contact you later to arrange for prints. We invite family and friends to feel free to use cameras.
Parking: On commencement day there will be limited parking below the Town Center in the parking garage and around the Fayetteville Square.

Reception Following Ceremony: Everyone is invited to the reception immediately following graduation on the porches surrounding the Town Center.
