In recent years, the University of Arkansas School of Law has participated in two study abroad summer programs. Students are eligible if they have completed the first year of law school and are currently in good academic standing. Federal or other student loans may be available. Interested students should contact the Office of Financial Aid for information. St. Petersburg Program


The St. Petersburg Summer Law Institute presents English-speaking law students with the rare opportunity to study international and comparative law in the historic cities of Novgorod and St. Petersburg, Russia.

The University of Arkansas School of Law sponsors the fully ABA-accredited program, with support from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University and McGeorge Law School.

Cambridge Program


The Cambridge Study Abroad Program is a fully ABA-accredited program, jointly sponsored by Downing College of Cambridge University and the University of Mississippi School of Law, in consortium with the University of Arkansas School of Law, the University of Tennessee College of Law, and the University of Nebraska College of Law. The program lasts six weeks and includes courses in international and comparative law.

University of Arkansas' Project in Belize


Second- and third-year law students are invited to participate in the Belize program. The academic component begins on this campus this in spring 2007 with a 3-credit hour seminar, designated as HUMN 4253. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
