Robert Laurence
Professor Emeritus
Professor Laurence is the author of several publications on Creditor’s Remedies and
Debtors’ Rights and American Indian Law. He received his undergraduate degree at Ohio
State University, a master’s degree in education at the University of Alberta, and
his J.D. magna cum laude at the University of New Mexico. He received a graduate law
degree from the University of Illinois, where he was a teaching fellow. He was assistant
professor of law at the University of North Dakota, and a visiting assistant professor
of law at The University of New Mexico. Professor Laurence taught principally in the
area of commercial law and won numerous teaching awards.
