The well-being of law students at the University of Arkansas School of Law is a foundational value of our law school community and crucial to law student success. The law school has worked alongside mental health professionals and the University of Arkansas School of Law Wellness student organization to gather a variety of resources for our law school community.

UARK Law “Wellness Wednesdays”

Join the law school community in “Wellness Wednesdays” on dedicated Wednesdays to take a break from classes or studying and unwind.

February 19th - Beauty Galore
Beauty Galore is a Wellness Event that will focus on everything beauty! From hair (men or women) to nails to skincare, students will learn how taking care of one's beauty will impact their well-being. We will have coupons from various NWA businesses in the beauty field and possibly a giveaway.
March 5th - Scented Serenity: A DIY Candle Experience
A creative collaboration between IP and Wellness! At this event, you’ll have the chance to choose from pre-made candles, select your preferred scent, and pick a candle container that suits your style. We’ll provide fun, IP-inspired labels for you to personalize and apply to your candle. After crafting your one-of-a-kind candle, you’ll be able to take it home with you to enjoy. It’s the perfect blend of creativity and wellness—don’t miss out!
March 12th - Environmental Law Society Planting Herbs
March 19th - Cut & Pastries
Crafting mini collages with Outlaw
April 2nd - Bubble Festival
Law students will enjoy snow cones, popsicles, and a snack bar as they blow bubbles in the courtyard.
April 9th - BLSA & Chill
We’ve got a DJ bringing the vibes with chill and fun music, plus catering from Chicken Headz and drinks to enjoy. It’s the perfect low-key way to relax, grab some good food, and connect with friends.

January 15th - Hot Chocolate & Snack Bar
Welcome Back! Students will personalize their hot chocolate and snack bag as they grab resources pertaining to mental health, physical health, and financial well-being.
January 22nd - Sip & Celebrate
The Immigration Law Society will host an event featuring drinks from around the globe, celebrating the diversity of cultures and highlighting that immigrants come from all corners of the world.
January 29th - Appreciation Station
Join us for a heartfelt Thank You Card Station, where you can take a moment to express your gratitude to family, professors, classmates, or anyone who has made a positive impact in your life. We'll provide all the supplies you need, including cards, pens, and fun extras like stickers and temporary tattoos, to make your messages special. While you're creating, enjoy a selection of drinks and snacks to keep the good vibes flowing. This is your chance to spread kindness and appreciation in a creative and meaningful way!
February 5 - Cuisine Noir
Cuisine Noir is a Wellness Event that will allow students to try foods from various cultures. We will have African, Italian, Mexican, American, Thai, and (possibly) Caribbean food stations. Each student will grab a card, walk through the food stations to receive a stamp and food, and learn about how different cultural foods have key food methods that help one's body and mind.
February 12th - Sweet Treats
It's a SWEET Day to be PRODUCTIVE will feature a photo booth, affirmation cards, a Valentine's Day candy bar, and hors d'oeuvres. Students will have a chance to take a break from studying and being productive by grabbing a treat and taking pictures!

The University of Arkansas School of Law in partnership with The Psychological Clinic on campus, is proud to offer on-site confidential and no cost therapy services for law students.

  • Counselor's Corner: Room 224 is open to law students and has business clothes, pantry items, and hygiene products available for students.
  • Lactation/Nursing Room: Room 225 is a dedicated space for parents to feed or change their children.
  • Family Study Room: Room 223 includes toys and games for kids, comfortable seating, and desk space for parents.

University of Arkansas Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

  • Pat Walker Health Center's Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is committed to supporting the University of Arkansas students with all mental health care needs. CAPS offers critical mental health services such as short-term individual counseling, group counseling, psychiatry, 24/7 emergency mental health services, and case management.
  • CAPS programs and services are designed to meet the academic, developmental, remedial, and preventive needs of the university community. CAPS is also available to provide outreach presentations to faculty and staff as requested and available. Most services through CAPS are covered by the student health and wellness fee. Only some services, such as psychiatry, have minimal charges.

Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry

  • Student-led emergency food assistance program, serving anyone with a U of A or UAMS ID and their household: Students, staff and faculty, as well as temporary or hourly employees.
  • Full Circle is located in Bud Walton Hall, the beige brick building between the stadium and the Union Parking Garage. The entrance to Full Circle is on the east side of the building directly across from the base of the Union Parking Garage.

  • UARK/UREC Wellness focuses on providing a comprehensive program promoting wellness and holistic health by engaging and empowering students, faculty, and staff through experiential academic and non-academic classes, coaching, and supportive services and activities.

The Joshua Center

  • The Joshua Center provides affordable counseling services for people struggling with individual and family concerns. They provide a low-cost option for therapy services with one of their graduate-level interns. Simply request an appointment at your office location preference on the website. You will receive an email from administrative staff. Respond back to that email with a request to meet with an intern. The Joshua Center should respond within 48 hours.
