Tim Tarvin
Professor Emeritus
Tim Tarvin taught Federal Practice Clinic and General Practice Clinic, and served as Director of Continuing Legal Education. During his over 25 years of practicing law, he served as deputy prosecuting attorney, bankruptcy trustee, juvenile judge and municipal judge, before joining the law school faculty in 1993. He is a former member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, Arkansas Municipal Judges Association and American Judges Association. He has lectured at the National Conference for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction concerning the academic use of case management and document assembly software, expert systems and the Internet
Professor Tarvin served on the Legal Services,CLE and Technology Committees of the Arkansas Bar Association. He received the Association’s Certificate of Recognition for service to the public and profession. He was a director and officer of the Arkansas Bar Foundation and serves on the subcommittee on Special Projects. He was admitted to practice before the Arkansas Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and U.S. District Courts in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Professor Tarvin was a member of the Arkansas Volunteer Lawyers for the Elderly and the American Bar Association. He is a graduate of Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas School of Law.
