Service & Outreach

Service and Outreach are at the core the University of Arkansas School of Law’s values. The University of Arkansas is a Land-Grant institution, which makes teaching, research and service central to its mission. The law school is dedicated to producing students who are prepared to contribute to their community and to continually striving to diversify its student body, these two goals provide the focus for our service and outreach programs.

Our legal clinics, externships, court competitions and student organizations help to prepare students for life in the legal community. The clinics also provide a statewide service to those in need of assistance as do our pro bono programs, Food Recovery Project and Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative. Two summer programs, SPARK and the Native Youth in Food and Agriculture Summer Leadership Summit introduce the legal profession and the study of law to high school and college students who might not otherwise consider attending law school.
